April 26th, 1998 – The ninth annual Golden Bear International Tournament is held. Petaluman Eric Woelfel wins his third left-hand Golden Bear title. Russia’s Vika Gabakova wins titles with both arms. John Brzenk, who continues his tradition of attending the event every four years, wins the right-hand super heavyweight class. But his decision to pull the regular tournament on Friday and Saturday, as well as the Ultimate (open) division on Sunday, leads many to wonder “what could have been” had he decided to save his arm just for the Ultimate division like most of the top Eastern Europeans. He has several fantastic matches against Vakhtang Javakadze, Erekle Gurchiani, and others, but loses to big Russian Alan Karaev in the finals.

Hyviä kaikki nuo Enginin kanavalla olevat uudet pätkät Devonin kanssa. En tiedä miksi viihdytyn niin kovasti näistä kädenväännön puheohjelmista. Oon satoja tunteja yhteensä kuunnellu.

Noissa videoissa kyllä näkee hyvin miten kädenväännössä voi olla vahva monella tavalla
Larryn ongelma selkeesti starttikulmassa voimantuotta. Mikä onkin se yleisin ongelma mitä vähemmän lajissa on ollut mukana (+ Devonilla ).
