10% ALENNUS KOODILLA PAKKOTOISTO
"Still the biggest prize in arm wrestling to date. Over the Top Semi Truck. Won by John Brzenk in 1986. It was worth $250,000 at the time. That’s $700,333 (660,659 euro) adjusted for inflation today! He later sold it and bought a 1987 Corvette with some of the money.

Over 800 qualified arm wrestlers were in the Over the Top tournament in 1986. The first qualifier took place on the 25th of August 1985 at the Beverly Hills Hilton. More events followed in other US cities: Spokane, Denver, New York, Chicago, Houston, Anaheim and Reno. Sylvester Stallone and Chuck Norris were guests at the New York qualifier. Then came the worldwide qualifiers. Starting in Canada with contests in Toronto and Edmonton, the competition moved to Israel (Tel Aviv), Holland, Germany, France (Paris), Great Britain (Manchester) and Japan (Tokyo). John Brzenk went to all the qualifying events. No armwrestler was allowed to win more than one portion of 1st place prize money. If John won 1st place at one event, taking home the 1st place prize money, and then won 1st place at another event, he would only be entitled to the 2nd place prize money.

The full movie was recently uploaded by YouTube in HD. My favorite part is John Brzenk slapping the hell out of Slammin’ Carl Adams; with Dave Patton. @ 1:15:25
