By oxidizing Hsp70.1, both the dietary PUFA- (exogenous) and the membrane phospholipid- (intrinsic) peroxidation product “hydroxynonenal,” when combined, may play crucial roles in the occurrence of diverse lifestyle diseases including Alzheimer's disease.
