JACKSON SIGNS WITH WEIDER
Written by: Michael Berg, FLEX Editor
Johnnie Jackson officially signed on today to become a Weider Athlete. The 2001 NPC Nationals overall champion, who paid a visit to the Weider offices in Woodland Hills, California on February 3, was absolutely gung-ho about the offer -- a sentiment shared by FLEX chief Peter McGough. "We are very excited to have Johnnie join the team," he said. "Johnnie is a great athlete, is very personable and has a lot to offer the fans of FLEX and MUSCLE & FITNESS. He was unfortunately lost in the shuffle at this past Olympia and came in lower than he deserved at 11th, but with three second-place finishes over the past two years (the 2004 and 2005 Toronto Pro and the 2005 Europa Supershow), he's due to finally break through for a well-deserved win on the pro level."
Congratulations to Johnnie! We're glad to have him aboard.
