"The Nevada State Athletic Commission has nixed the proposed Mark Hunt vs. Butterbean match on the 10/21 show in Las Vegas as far as being under MMA rules. At this point both sides appear to have agreed to do a four or five round boxing match instead, which is a completely different game. While Nevada usually doesn't allow "mixed shows," in that they weren't going to allow kickboxing and MMA on the same bill, they are willing to waive the rule here. Commission director Keith Kizer said he wouldn't approve of the fight because Hunt has wins over Mirko Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva, while Butterbean has very true MMA fights (many of his listed MMA fights have been special rules limiting time on the ground" and most of his wins have been against people (like pro wrestler Aaron Aguilera) who have never even won an MMA fight."
