The 50th Mr. Olympia is just a week or so away, which prompts thoughts of reflecting on the contest’s past and progression. I have been privileged to have attended every Mr. Olympia since 1982, apart from two -- 1989 and 2013. And if I had to pick one golden moment from all those Olympias (in fact from any bodybuilding contest I've seen) I would have to choose the night of the 1995 Mr. Olympia when for the first time ever all nine Mr. Olympia who had won the title up to that time appeared on stage together. The reunion was staged to celebrate thirty years of the Mr. Olympia contests. Such a Sandow jamboree had never happened before, hasn’t happened since, and never will.
