Vähän vertailuja superautojen välillä.... jos noista olis joku ihan pakko ottaa niin kyllä ferrari on aina ferrari...
AMS (Auto Motor und Sport)
The test was divided into three parts, a high speed test on the Nardo Oval track, a handling test on the twisties of the Autodromo del Levante and a test on public roads, all in southern Italy.
The testers where really amazed by the Enzo, at 355km/h the car drove as if on railroad tracks the suspension smoothed out all the bumps and the interior noise was quiet enough to hold conversation. The Enzo was unchallenged at Nardo. When it comes to the twisties at Levante, the Enzo has to bow down to the Carrera GT however, the Carrera GT is faster during slow and intermediate turns, while the Enzo excels during high speed turns, which are rare at Levante. The Carrera GT really dethroned the Enzo in the braking department from 250km/h the Carrera GT comes to a stop in 191m (!) the Enzo needs 215. Even though Porsche is not active in Formula 1, the Carrera GT's V10 apparently very convincingly imitates a Formula1 engine.
The Mercedes kompressor V8 was labeled as having the stakkato of a Nascar power plant. This engine propels the Mclaren Mercedes SLR to 334 km/h. Reaching this speed is not a problem getting back down to civil speeds can be a bit problematic. The SLR is unstable under braking. The only way to avoid spinning is to slam on the brakes which should (hopefully) activate the rear spoiler. If one presses the brake pedal only lightly then bon voyage. One can also activate the spoiler manually but that reduces top speed dramaticly. It would seem that Mclaren Mercedes's problems are not limited to Formula 1. On a positive note the SLR was the only one where flames are shooting out of the exhaust at top speed.
One thing we at AMS found disapointing about the Murciélago was that it is noisy and uncomfortable, granted these are are sport- and not luxury (well they are a luxury to own) cars, but if a top of the line Ferrari is refined one can expect a top of the line Lamborghini to be refined as well.
A special round of applause goes to the Aston Martin DB9, it was the only one to come to Italy on it's own four tires. Aston Martin was also the only company which did not monitor it's cars performace via a row of laptops at Nardo, that takes a lot of confidence. The DB9 tops out at 309. Also impressive is the 323 optained by the Bentley Continental GT. For comparison ten years ago one needed a very uncomfortable Ferrari F40 to optain that speed.
