If you've ever heard the term "lean into it," maybe I could illustrate a point on "falling in love with the process." I know that could sound cheesy but hear me out...Most people mind f.ck themselves from the get go on their goals and ambitions with thoughts that begin with: I HAVE TO (fill in the blank).
I HAVE TO:
Wake up early
Meal prep
Do cardio
Practice new skill
Etc.
Believe me when I tell you that you can trigger an immediate response if you "lean into it."
Lean into it (don't quote me) is a term used by skate boarders referring to the dropping into the pit (or whatever you call that thing that you drop into). You HAVE to "lean into it" because if there's any doubt or hesitation in your body's movement, you're going to fall on your ass.
Similarly, with many people's way of thinking, they put up resistance mentally when telling themselves "ah shit, I HAVE TO do this very important thing that is one step in a process to make me who I really want to be..."Lean into the work.
Lean into the effort. Lean into it for the love of God
Its not easy
Nothing worthwhile will happen over night HOWEVER, changing the way you think of the necessary things you need to do (telling yourself let me get mine, this is for me and I deserve to put in the effort to make this happen) will literally change your mind and get you there in warp speed compared to thinking I HAVE TO...
So, just to make a connection on how I started this rant... fall in the love with the steps that will get you there ie the process.
