Palhareshan ei ole missään vaiheessa ollut virallisilla ottelijalistoilla joten ei kai ADCC sitä ole varsinaisrsti sieltä pudottanutkaan.
Siinä vaiheessa kun Palhares on ilmoittanut kiinnostuksrnsa se ei bälttämättä ole ollut enään mahdollista.
Pitää muistaa että kisat alkaa jo huomenna ensimäisillä punnituksilla.

Listoista en tiedä, mutta 2011 menestyksen perusteella paikka pitäisi automaattisesti aueta. Ilmeisesti nyt adcc ei ollut saanut Apinaa puhelimella kiinni ja paikka meni sitä myöten käteen...

Tuo fightgeekin uutinen perustui nettimeemiin jossa luki portugaliksi jotakuinkin "Toquinholle kutsu ADCC2013?"
Yotta sekin, että koska Palhares tuli toiseksi 2011 ja voittaja Galvao ottelee tänä vuonna superfightissa kutsu on selviö. Paikkaa ei virallistettu Palhareksen toimest koska UFC-ottelu oli niin lähellä. Sitten kun olisi kiinnostanut niin oli myöhäistä. Tänä vuonna Palhares olisi voittanut.

Mun mielestä tää o just se olennainen juttu tässä. Jos tää ois ollu eka kerta niin munki mielestä ois jeesustelua antaa kenkää - muttakun palhares on tehny tuon uudestaan ja uudestaan ja jos vielä kerran on tehnyt tuota treeneissäkin niin eipä tuossa ole juuri epäselvää. Ja tosiaan tuo Hendon pommi on vähän huono vertailukuva siinä mielessä että tuossa tuomari on Hendon selkäpuolella vielä kun pommi lähtee tulemaan - mutta Palharesin tapauksessa tuomari on ihan selkeästi hänen näkökentässään jolloin kyllä pitäisi automaattinen reaktio olla päästää irti.

Pyysin listaa en yhtä ottelijaa. Kaikki tietää varmasti että Marcelo on yksi parhaista, montako kymmentä äijää sen lisäks löytyy jotka samalla tekniikalla lopettaa suurimman osan vastustajistaan ? Jokainen varmaan määrittelee itse mitä ominaisuuksia arvostaa eikä niitä tarvitsekkaan ultimaalisina totuuksina saarnata. Omasta mielestä Palhares nyt vaan oli ainakin Ufcn listoilla poikkeuksellisen kova bjj mieheksi. Onhan siellä tietysti Werdumia jne, mutta niiden pyllähtelyt on aiheuttanu lähinnä häpeää. Palhares on hyvä esimerkki minkälainen bjj mies on parhaimmillaan, kun fysiikkakin on sopivasti doupattu.
Vinny ja Roger voitaisiin luetella Palhareksen vastakohdiksi vaikka taitavia nekin tietysti on.
