Meikäläisen pihamaalta löytyy tällä hetkellä seuraavaa;

`52 Ford Vedette (kustom projekti, valmis joskus....)
`56 DeSoto Diplomat(lievä projekti, ajossa ehkä tämän vuoden syksyllä)
`75 vw kupla 1300 (odottaa pohjalevyn puolikkaan vaihtoa + uutta lämpökoteloa)
`83 citroen cx pallas 2400 ie (odottaa päätöstä-> projektiksi vaiko purkuun)
`83 Olds CustomCruiser (Kaikkien rakastamalla 5.7 dx dieselillä ruuditettu työmatka-ajokki, siis mun käyttöauto)

ja vaimon käyttöpelinä

Tuommonen löytyy täältä. Saksan tuontiauto viime kesältä. Auto oli täysin vakio tuotaessa, nyt jo erottaa omansa, vaikka (liian) yleinen kärry tuo onkin.

Juups, lukasin äkkiä että "minkälaisia menopelejä" tai jotain...
Ei oo hiilareita kropassa niin välillä käy vähän hitaalla, moni täällä saattaa
jopa ymmärtää :(

Toi dx 5.7 oli se diesel joka tehty bensakoneesta ja ei kestäny kilometrejä?
Yhellä tutulla oli vanissa tollane ja se "naksutti"
 
Syksyllä tuli vaihdettua: Mazda 626 -96.

Aika tyytyväinen olen ollut, 2 litran koneella liikkuu ihan riittävästi vaikkei mikään tykki nyt tietty olekaan. Aika hiljainen. Mukavan tuntuinen kone. Tehoa ei ole revitty hirveästi (115 hv) mutta vääntöä on sen verran että kolmosta pienemmälle ei ihan joka kulmassa tarvitse vaihtaa.

History of the 350 Diesel
Oldsmobile came out with the 5.7 Litre 350 cubic inch Diesel engine in 1978, and was available in almost everything from Chevy Trucks to Cadillac during its production period. They where produced mainly for fuel economy due to the gas shortage in the late 70's early 80's. They were known to be very bad engines as they arrived. Lots of Injector Pump problems, blowing head gaskets, and poor maintenence due to lack of knowledge basically killed them. Many engines were perfesionally changed out by GM mechanics, but still with many top end problems and poor maintenence, and also due to water in the fuel.The first few years of the 350 Diesel were the worst ever, as far as most people are concerned, in some people's opinions, it was the worst engine ever, but it was all due to poor knowledge and lack of maintenence as far as I'm concerned.

All Oldsmobile Diesels were discontinued for the 1986 model year eventhough they were practically perfect by then, therefore most were forgotten, and a wide margin were gone...not everyday do you see a car or truck with a 350 Diesel, but when you do, they are runnig great! The few that chose to put a remanufactured engine in instead of a gas 350 are still driving them with tons of miles on them. I have mine in a 81 Pontiac Bonniville...its a Remanufactured one, but it runs perfect.

Kestävä ja hyvä kone se on. sitä pitää vaan ymmärtää huoltaa.... Ja tehty siis ihan omaan lohkoonsa, ei minkään 350 bensakoneen pohjalta.
 
Herbie :haart: eli vw 1303s ´74 ja sitten vielä ihan helmi vw type-3 Notchback ´63 ja talviautona vw golf 1.8 ´96. Pientä merkkiuskollisuutta kehittymässä
