Tai ainaki luulen niin :D . En kyllä mitenkään voi uskoa että kahella jalalla pystyttäis hyppään esim 240cm yli.
Löysin vain todella vanhan viittauksen.
Dickie Browning
In addition to his national tumbling accomplishments, Browning broke the world record in the high jump, a track and field event, in 1954 by doing a round-off back-handspring entry, then performing a back tuck over the high jump bar. He was able to clear 7 feet, 2 inches, while the previous record was only 6 feet, 11 ½ inches. The record was unofficial, however, because rules stated that a legal high jump required a one-foot takeoff. Browning was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the "World's Greatest Tumbler" from 1954 to 1974.
Nuo mitat, kahdella jalalla 2.18m ja yhdellä 2.12m. Eli ei riitä, mutta enemmän kuin maailmanennätys tuohon aikaan.
Former U.S. National Tumbling Champion coached by Hall of Fame member Charlie Pond. One time listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's greatest tumbler. Documented to be able to clear a high jump bar at 7' 4" after entering with a round-off back handspring. Joined the navy and flew aircraft for eleven years. Went on to fly commercially for American Airlines.
Ja tuo mitta olisi 2.23m, ei riitä vieläkään.
Sama tapahtuma, eri lukema.
2. I. In April 1954, U.S. tumbler Dick Browning somersaulted over a bar set at 7 feet, 6 inches, surpassing the world high-jump record of 6 feet, 11 1/2 inches. In 1962, when the Olympic high-jump record was 7 feet, 1 inch, Gary Chamberlain did a back handspring with a back flip over a bar set at 7 feet, 4 inches and landed on his feet. These achievements didn't make it into the record books because high jumpers must take off from one foot only, and these gymnasts sprung from two.
Tuo olisi jo 2.28m, ei riitä. Mutta on jo lähellä.
