Badr Hari cannot escape his violent past, even while partying it up in the Amsterdam ArenA with his celebrity girlfriend, Estelle Cruyff, in a VIP box. As we reported earlier, at a Dutch dance festival in Amsterdam, Badr Hari was present and in his VIP box a 38 year-old man was brutally assaulted, with his leg and face badly damaged.

It looks like the victim is multimillionaire Koen Everink, and that the damages to his person might be so severe that he might never be able to walk properly again. The police have not ruled out Badr's involvement in the assault yet, although he and his lawyer claim he is innocent. From the reports that we are hearing he will give a statement to the police either today or tomorrow and hopefully this can be cleared up.

Even if innocent, this is far from the first run-in Badr has had with the law over violent assaults, the most recent in 2010 that hindered Hari from participating in the K-1 World Grand Prix, which was won by current UFC Heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem.

Former K-1 heavyweight champion Badr Hari may be spending the next few years in a Dutch jail.

He was arrested today by police in Amsterdam after presenting himself at a police station to talk about an incident that took place earlier this month at an all-night rave event, which left a man with a potentially crippling injury.

Hari is accused of being one of several men who assaulted the travel industry entrepreneur Koen Everink and left him hospitalised with face and leg injuries. The worst injury, a broken ankle so bad he may have a permanently affected walking manner, was allegedly Hari’s work.

According to reports, the victim has told investigators that he was floored by his initial attackers and then looked up to see Hari standing over him. The Dutch-Moroccan is then alleged to have cried “Now go to hell!” before stamping heavily on his ankle and breaking it.

The day after the event, Hari and his girlfriend Estelle Gullit - estranged wife of the footballer Ruud Gullit - jetted off for a pre-booked “holiday in the sun”. Police said that he was not yet classed as either witness or suspect so there was no need to prevent him leaving the country.

When he came back this week he was apparently “afraid of being arrested by a SWAT team” and so he made arrangements to hand himself in. When he did so he was arrested at the front desk of the police station and for the time being he will now have contact with nobody except his lawyer, which means he cannot speak to radio reporters as he was doing this week.

Hari has also been accused by an Amsterdam nightclub owner of causing him severe injury in an assault last year. The owner of the Air venue says that he was left with a broken jaw and missing teeth after a kick from Hari but did not press charges at the time after extracting a promise from Hari that he would never return to the club.

News of the latest incident apparently prompted him to reconsider his position and he is now asking Dutch police to press charges. Its another blow for the beleaguered Hari, who has a well-deserved reputation for volatility and aggressive conduct.

A statement is expected tomorrow from Amsterdam police.

Sääli, että totakin jätkää luultavasti ihaillaan junnujen keskuudessa. Ehkä paskin esikuva koskaan ja huonoa mainosta potkunyrkkeilylle. Jos nuo jutut siis on totta, toivottavasti ei ole... Paha vain, että luultavasti on, kaverin aiemmat tempaukset huomioonottaen. Paitsi eikö se ollu jotenki, että Hari oisi saanut jotain apua vihanhallintaan taukonsa aikana...?

Meinaatko tällä "historialla" niitä onnenonkijoiden juttuja vai ihan jotain muuta ?

Hari tulee varmasti saamaan ansionsa mukaan mikäli juttu pitää kaikilta osin paikkansa, varmasti siinä tuomion tulee saamaan myös muutama muukin
valopää. Eihän nämäkään tyhmyydet kuitenkaan vie pois miehen saavutuksia kehässä, mutta persoonan arvostusta laskee ihmisten mielessä tietysti.

Mahtaako olla samasta tapahtumasta kyse ?

No jaa en nyt enkelistä tiedä, mun mielestä Tyson on kakkunsa istunut ja parannuksen tehnyt joten rauha hänelle.

Ei ole syytön,mutta kaveri on täysin eri mies nykyään. Katsoo uusia haastatteluja niin itse todellakin kunnioitan kaveria ihan sen takia,että on pystynyt selättämään demoninsa ja kääntämään elämänsä suunnan.
En kuitenkaan kutsuisi Haria enkeliksi verrattuna Tysoniin.....

Joten otin esimerkkinä Tysonin, jota ihailtiin vaikka mies sekoili huolella. Itse oon aina ihaillut ja tulen aina ihailemaan Tysonia, välittämättä sen sekoiluista.

Kyllä mä olen ihan kartalla Tysonin menneisyydestä ja nykytilasta, kiitos vaan selvennyksestä silti :thumbs:

Varmaan kuuluu juuri näihin ketkä ottaa vähän viinaa ja alkaa rähisemään. Toivottavasti saa ansionsa mukaan.
 
Vaikka olisin halunnut kaverin sinne nyrkkeilykehiin, niin toivottavasti ei millään konsteilla pääse kuin koira veräjästä.
Harvinaisen karu toi nilkan paskominen.

Montako vuotta mahdollisesti tulossa? Toivottavasti kymppi, niin kaverin urheilu-uran pilaantuminen olisi tarpeeksi suuri rangaistus.
