Get Thrashed starts off in early 80s San Francisco, where Metallica laid the groundwork for what would become a lasting impression on the face of heavy music. From the scene and seeds they helped create, Get Thrashed traces the rise & evolution of thrash metal .... from its early years, thru its influence on grunge, rap metal, nu metal and some of todays extreme metal bands. Get Thrashed is the story of the heaviest, hardest music of the 80s, 90s and today as told by the bands which lived it, the bands & fans that grew up and were influenced by it and the artists that carry the flag today. The show will throw new light on a genre of music that has gone from a simple rumbling in the underground to a loud, obnoxious and constant roar in the (almost) mainstream.
