Cradle Of Filth julkaisee uusimman Thornography albuminsa 19.9.

Biiseinä mm. Libertina Grim, Tonight In Flames, Cemetery And Sundown, I Am The Thorn, The Byronic Man (vierailijana Ville Valo) ja Temptation.

Filth: "I'm not saying it's 'experimental,' but we're definitely testing the limits of what we can do. This is our sixth or seventh record, so we're trying to spice things up to keep the marriage going!"

"We were hungry to write again," Filth added. Once we finished all our tours [in 2005], we spent the summer just writing. Nobody really throught about where it was going, which is why I think it's really fresh sounding. A lot of the songs are really rhythmical — thrashy, almost — but they're all also really catchy."
 
Ihan vitun turha bändi nykyisin. Duskin jälkeen suoltaneet silkkaa paskaa.

Tarkotit vissii Cruelty and the beast? Tuosta vielä ite tykkäsin, sen jälkeen alkanu menee huonompaan. Midianilla vielä jokunen hyvä veisu oli.

Eiköhän sama levy:) . Niinhän se on, että metallin saralla suurinpiirtein parhaat levyt on jo tehty ajat sitten. Nykyään tehdään aikapitkälti turhia levyjä.
 
Onsk kellekkään tuttuja Poison The Well, Alexis On Fire tai Hopesfall. Ne on aika hyvää tykitystä... Ihan ykkösenä tulee kuitenkin Bon Jovi, vaikkei sitä ihan rankinta olekaan.:5:

Kiva kun kerroit, mutta miten liittyy aiheeseen? Sitä paitsi noista on tykitys kaukana ;)

Midianilla ja bitter suites to succubilla oli vielä joitain ihan hyviä veisuja, mutta sen jälkeen on tullut ihan mitäänsanomatonta matskua.
 
Dani Filth: "This title represents mankind's obsession with sin and self. The thorn combines images of that which troubled Christ, the crown of thorns, thus intimating man's seeming desire to hurt God and also, of the protecting thorn and the need to enclose a secret place or the soul from attack. An addiction to self-punishment or something equally poisonous. A mania. Twisted desires. Barbed dreams. A fetish. An obsession with cruelty. Savage nature. Paganism over Christianity. The title can also represent a sexual attraction to religious iconography as in the case of the 'possessed' Lourdon nuns.

"I like the title because to me it invokes images of a darker, sexier pre-Raphaelite scene wherein Sleeping Beauty's castle is won and she is awoken by a poisonous kiss. A darker adult faerytale."

Heh. Olen aivan samaa mieltä. Cruelty and the Beast on viimeinen tosikunnonhyvä CoF albumi, ei uudetkaan huonoja ole, mutta jotenkin eivät vain iske niin kovasti kuin vanhant.
 
Midian on ehdottomasti cradle of filthin paras levy. Parhaimmat biisit ja bläkkisrääkyntä ei sitä järkyttävää piipitystä mitä vanhoilla levyillä. Cruelty and the beast oli muuten hyvä levy, mutta rumpusoundit v*tusta ja itseeni ei iske se danin piipitysrääkyminen. Biisit itsessään vahvoja.

Midianin jälkeen on jotenkin levyt kuulostanut keskeneräisiltä. Siellä täällä hyviä ideoita, mutta ei oikein tahdo kantaa. Tuntuu, että yhdessä kohtaa filthi yritti pistää levyä ulos peräjälkeen vähän liian tiheään ja siksi ideat loppuivat kesken.

Ei oikein iske tämä bändi. Muutama hyvä biisi löytyy, mut siihen se jää. Cthulhu Dawn, Her Ghost In The Fog ja Amor E Morte on parhaat biisit mun mielestä. Oisko ollu Midian-levyltä.
