Reunited Swiss avant-garde metallers CELTIC FROST have selected HYPOCRISY/PAIN mainman Peter Tägtgren to co-produce their long-awaited comeback effort, tentatively titled "Dark Matter Manifest". The band willl enter Horus Sound Studio in Hannover, Germany on August 1 to begin recording their first collection of new material since 1990's "Vanity/Nemesis". Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Incantation against You", "Obscured", "Ain Elohim" and "Temple of Depression".

CELTIC FROST, who have been mixing new demo material at Oakland Recording in Winterthur, Switzerland, have yet to secure a record deal for their upcoming CD.

C.Frost vaikutti aika lailla mun musajuttuihin, etenkin "To Mega Therion" oli/on kova vaikute Morningstarille vanhan Running Wildin, Cirith Ungolin ja Manilla Roadin ohella...
Vähän kyllä old school miestä pelottaa tuollasen tuottajan valinta...ugh!

Circle Of Tyrants  .

Celtic Frost (ja hellhammerkin..) oli miesten musiikkia! Harmittavan aliarvostettua suomessa, täällä nyt ny menee kaikki paska läpi...Jahka nuo Morningstarin uudet websivut valmistuvat, laitetaan linkkiä...suomen Celtic Frost since 1989!

On oopperaa, hard rockii, teknoa, klassista jne.ITP:n lisäksi Cold Lake on hyvä levy.

CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:

"So many things are taking place here during the making of this album. Far too many things to list here, I often believe, even though this blog has been established to be utterly open and to provide a direct link into part of our world for those who care about the idea that is CELTIC FROST. And now I find myself wondering so often what to post here — and whether to post it — of all the occurrences, mental, actual, and otherwise, which happen upon us these months. Indeed, it has been years. This is not supposed to be a journal of whine or complaint, after all. But in order to be open and honest, how far should this record of disclosure go?

"In brief, these past few days have proven once again that it is far from simple, let alone easy, to be in CELTIC FROST and to admit that we are in the process of recording a new, momentous, album. And momentous it will be, no matter how it will be perceived and no matter to what extent our emotions will connect or fail to connect to those of our audience and critics.

"There are numerous impediments on the path to completion of this album, both personal and professional. Recent months have seen plenty of both. Not least that three of us have seen private relationships collapse, their harbours from this fascinating yet at the same time ravaging tempest, due to reasons at the very least remotely connected to the existence of this group. There has been plenty of darkness and — just days ago — a severe case of erosion of professional confidence in a closely affiliated third party.

"More is to come.

"It will make for an amazing album."

CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:

"I amended, rehearsed and recorded lyrics and vocals for the radically new version of 'Obscured' this week. Although I have been singing various versions of this song for a couple of years now, it was quite a challenge. We will host Simone at our rehearsal studio on Saturday to record her co-lead vocals for 'Obscured', still for the song's production demo. In my eyes, this is one of the most significant songs CELTIC FROST have ever worked on.

"I also took the opportunity yesterday, before the rest of the band appeared, to listen to this week's rehearsal recording of the equally radically re-written album opening song, the title of which shall remain confidential for now. The song's aura has changed completely. I had urged the band for months to be open to this change, and now this song is exactly where I think it should be. I sometimes have to overcome a significant amount of opposition to such proposals, even though the others often marginalize this fact. At the same time, it must be pointed out that while it is usually one member of the group whose ideas spark such a reassessment (and the most urgent and fanatical such member is... me), the idea is frequently subject to a collective and very intuitive development.

"I will now also re-write the lyrics for this song, some sections of which have bothered me since I first began rehearsing the lead vocals."

Seminal avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST have announced the completion of their new studio album, tentatively titled "Dark Matter Manifest", their first in 13 years and the culmination of some three and a half years of songwriting and recording work. Although the album was largely produced by the band themselves and financed by their own production company, CELTIC FROST enlisted HYPOCRISY/PAIN mastermind Peter Tägtgren to co-produce with them the final recording and mixing sessions at Horus Sound Studio in Hanover, Germany, in August/September 2005. Negotiations with a variety of labels are currently underway, and the album is scheduled for a release in early 2006.

Having declined innumerable reunion show propositions over the years, CELTIC FROST once again deemed it essential to manifest themselves creatively with a new album before embarking on the live circuit next year.

Original CELTIC FROST members Tom Gabriel Fischer (voice and guitars) and Martin Eric Ain (bass) are joined by Erol Unala (guitar) and Franco Sesa (drums). The band are now managed by Antje Lange for The A Label in Berlin, Germany.

Vai on Celticitkin tulossa takaisin. Itellä löytyy levyhyllystä niiden
"Into the pandemonium" (tai jtn sinne päin) -LP.
Se oli kyl aika mystistä "babylon-kuolema-musaa", ei silloin ainakaan kolahtanut ihan kympillä meikäläiseen.

CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:

"The experience of darkness within my mind, incited by the events sustained while others smile. The cycles around me, the events, my obscurantist. How consummate these depths can be. Mine.

"The day we step outside after 13 years. The album we have waited to make for a lifetime. The strongest we have ever been. Ever! While I wish nothing so much than to walk out of this place, this life, this existence, to never return. Once again, so little can incite so much within; so pathetically trite, though to me so abysmal. And my strength is the most uncontrolled of all.

"I haven't been able to sleep in what seems like forever. It told them today, as a joke, that I can see the future.

"It will probably perservere."

"We have been immersed in the mixing of the album for a while now, and the days are full of intensity. Working with Peter [Tägtgren, producer] is fantastic, even though these recording and mixing sessions have been defined by continuous challenges.

"I am going to be back in Switzerland by the end of the week, while Martin [Ain, bass] will probably stay here in Hanover a couple of days longer to oversee the very end of the sessions.

"As is common when I am involved with the making of a CELTIC FROST album of this magnitude, I will find myself unable to listen to our new music for months. I will need time to come down from these years of preparing this new statement of our band."

Tom Gabriel Fischer:
"The album will truly live up to the word that will be its title. But there is still some work to do. We are not quite there yet.

"I worship making albums, creating and playing music. I have committed my life to this, I have sacrificed so much for this, and, in return, it has given me all I am today. But making this album, my tenth album, has been the most difficult undertaking I have ever embarked upon. And these are not just heavy metal-typical overblown, empty or sensationalist words. I also believe I am not the only one to feel this way in the group.

"This album is a challenge, and yet the results are intoxicating.

"We were in the studio again this weekend and will be back for a couple of days by the end of the coming week to do some additional work on a couple of songs. We might even add a composition. Martin [Ain, bass] and me are mulling some eccentric ideas. For all intents and purposes, however, the album is at long last finished, and this week's Popkomm music industry convention in Berlin will see detailed talks between Antje, our manager, and some of the labels that have voiced strong interest.

"This album has been far from easy for me. And I have been far from easy on this album."

Seduce Me Tonight on ihan mun ehdoton suosikki Cold Lakelta. Ja kaikkihan bändit tälläsen vaiheen käyvät lävitte esim. Metallica, Megadeth ja Judas Priest.
