Puolan metallijumala Behemoth on mennyt studioon tekemään jatkoa loistavalle The Apostasy levylle. Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dark Funeral) on mukana tuottamassa rumpuraitoja. Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Slipknot, Napalm Death, Carcass) hoitaa levyn miksauksen. Levyn on tarkoitus ilmestyä vielä tämän kesän aikana. Studiosessiot kuullostavat hyviltä. Vuoden levyä odotellessa.

Olen odottanut tätä levyä kaikista eniten tänä vuonna tulevista. Behemoth ei näytä tuottavan pettymystä tälläkään kertaa noitten videoiden perusteella. Kuuluu ehdottomasti omiin top-3 dödö-bändeihin :rock:
 
Tätähän odotellaan niin maan perkeleesti. Jotenkin edellinen Apostasy ei iskenyt aivan Demigodin ja Zos Kia Cultuksen tavoin, joten toivotaan tulevasta levystä taas suurta pamausta.
 
Levyn nimeksi tulee Evangelion.

Nergalin kommenttia: "I’ve had this title in my head for almost a year now and it grew on me. It sounds nothing but powerful and epic which perfectly mirrors the essence of the new album.Evangelion comes from a Greek word ‘Spreading the word of God’ or ‘spreading the good news’…oh well, you already know that we love to play with the meanings and symbolism. We’re here to show you our interpretation of what Evangelion really is."
 
Nergal “I’ve just finished tracking down the vocals for “Evangelion”. My chords are worn out and I can hardly speak but at the same time I’m sooo happy and satisfied with the way it turned out this time. I think there was something missing in my vocal performance on the previous record, “The Apostasy”. With “Evangelion” I made sure it doesn’t sound just brutal…songs are more diverse and so are my vocals. There’s definitely more emotions and expression in it. You’ll be surprised!”.

Täysin samoilla linjoilla olen. Apostasy oli kylläkin ihan ok levy, kasvoinkohan itse jotenkin siitä ohi? Noh, toivotaan että Evangelion iskee sitten paremmin.
 
Levy ilmestyy Euroopassa 7.8.

“Evangelion combines a pure art form with a direct message. It was also important for us to ensure that the graphical presentation did justice to the record. Again, we have worked with Tomasz Danilowicz who has created his best illustration yet for Behemoth. The picture is of The Great Harlot of Babylon riding the seven-headed beast. Saints bow before her in worship whilst the tablets of the Ten Commandments lie broken at her feet. It represents our vision and the interpretation of the New Testament parable where the “Whore of Babylon” is a symbol of rebellion and resistance against God. I am fascinated by stories whose source lies in the Bible and we have used biblical symbolism, coupled with my own experience and outlook, in our lyrics or on the covers of previous Behemoth records. I love to juggle with meanings and play around with symbolism which is exactly what I have done in this case. The main character of our new cover is an archetype of disobedience, individualism, self-determination and a free, unfettered will – these are universal keywords which are typical and crucial in understanding the character of our works, life as a whole and the true nature of man.” Commented Nergal.

Maistellut nyt pari päivää tätä lättyä ja on kyllä perkeleen kova levy! Hujahti kertaheitolla omaksi vuoden levy ehdokkaaksi. Tällä kertaa niissä rumpusoundeissa(kin) on munaa ihan eri malliin, kuin aikaisemmin ja onhan toi Infernon tykitys ja ridekikkailut sellaista ilotulitusta, että!

Pakkohankinta, kunhan levy kauppoihin kerkee! :rock:
 
Kova levy, ei voi muuta sanoa. Ehdottomasti yksi vuoden parhaista. Pakko käydä ostamassa ensi viikolla.
