Rich Franklinin matsia edeltävässä haastiksessa sanoi ettei ole koskaan miettinytkään TRT:ta, ei ole tarvetta sen käytölle ja aikoo lopettaa uransa ilman sitä. Samassa haastiksessa sanoi että Franklinin matsi on kolmas matsi kuuden ottelun sopimuksessaan. Ennen TUF Chinaa meinas että aikoo ja haluaa otella kolme viimistäkin ottelua sopimuksestaan ennen eläköitymistään.

"I still have four fights left in my contract," Nogueira told MSN. "Until the end (of the contract), I don’t think too much about the future.
