- Woodley vs. Saffiedine may be the next fight for both men in early 2011
- Hoping to have Fedor back in the cage in 2011. His opponent may be announced in the next 2 weeks
- Marloes Coenen vs. Miesha Tate will happen in the 1st quarter of 2011, most likely on a main card
- First 2011 fight date should be announced in the next 2 weeks

UFC 124: Mac Danzig - Joe Stevenson

Ei tullu sitten ilmeisesti ainakaan vielä Danzigille ja Wimanille uusintamatsia, vaikka viimematsi meni tuomarin sekoillessa. Tosin mun mielestä tän matsin jälkeen vois Danzigin potkia firmasta ulos, kun otteet on ollu vähän mitä sattuu oikeestaan koko UFC-uran ajan. Stevensonillekin tämä on aika tiukka matsi, kun viimeksi tuli melkonen käsittely Aussien Sotiropoulosilta ja ottelutauko venyy melkolailla vuoden pituiseksi. Danzigin voittamisella ei myöskään rankingeissa nousta ja tappio olisi lievästi sanottuna paska homma jatkouran kannalta. Stevenson by RNC R1 ja Danzig jäähdyttelemään heikompitasosiin organisaatioihin.
 
Aldo ei selvästikkään pelkää saavansa pataan vaan haluaa näyttää osaamistansa. Siinä on muillekkin champeille mallia miten homman pitäisi toimia.

This really isn't that much of a shocker considering Dana White made UFC the 'unstoppable frate trane' that it is, but in getting the sport legalized/authorized in other parts of the world, Dana White (or more likely a collection of people) attempted to push something they've coined (and are in the process of trademarking) as 'UFC combative sports'. This would distinguish the UFC from 'MMA' and essentially greenlight 'UFC combative sports' under the UFC/ZUFFA banner in parts of the world where other MMA organizations can't host events. Some of you may be confused and granted, I'm not doing a great job explaining this, but in short, ZUFFA is trying to distinguish UFC from MMA and get 'UFC combative sports' legalized in certain local governments while 'MMA' would still be 'illegal'. Great business tactic if you want to dominate the sport. I'm sure I will receive a 'cease and desist' notification sometime this week regarding this 'rumor', so read it while you can.

Back in Brazil, WEC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo has been giving support for team mates over at the Nova Uniao facility in Rio de Janeiro. The astonishing fighter told Tatame that he might defend the belt in January against Mark Hominick, who has already fought for UFC:

"Whoever it may be, I always respect everybody. We may already have a title defense in January with Mark Hominick, a Canadian very good in kickboxing."
