Aiivan, näinhän se meneekin. Eikö?
Kyllä UFC on yleensä antanut arvoa sille millainen se voitto on. Jos tyrmäät näytöstyyliin ekassa erässä niin sille annetaan paaaljon enempi arvoa kuin jollekin hikiselle 5 erän lay n praylle tai tosi tiukalle decision voitolle. Tai siis bisneksen kannaltahan ne sitä tietysti katsoo. Haluavat tyrmäyksiä ja laittavat knockout artisteja vähän heikommillakin näytöillä monesti pistevoittajien edelle. Sama Sonnenin kanssa, ei kukaan varmaan olis laittanut Sonnia 3 tittelimatsiin pelkkien urheilullisten näyttöjen perusteella :D

e: olen siis samaa mieltä että "voitto on voitto", on vähän hankala juttu jos joku voittaa kyseenalaisen tuomaripäätöksen turvin. Harvoin noita kunnon ryöstöjä silti kuitenkaan on.

Ei se mene, jos Davis nyt etenee huimasti sijoituksissa voitettuaan Machidan arvostelutuomarien ansiosta.
Pacquaio-Bradley oli sellainen ryöstö, että tulos voitaisiin korjata vaikka ratkaisemattomaksi. Davis-Machida oli sen verran tasainen, että voin katsoa sormien läpi mikäli Davis ei saa huomattavaa etua voitostaan.

In case you thought Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez wasn't a well-rounded mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter already, add jiu-jitsu black belt to his resume.

The former NCAA Division-1 wrestler was awarded the ranking by Leandro Vieira of Checkmat BJJ a few weeks before his trilogy fight against Junior dos Santos at UFC 166, which goes down at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Oct 19, 2013.

Pettis: Askren thinking about retiring. Askren: I want GSP first


The recent UFC on FOX 9 press conference featured UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, among many others. During it, Pettis made a statling statement about his RoufuSport teammate Ben Askren.

"One guy who is on the main stage, ready, is Ben Askren," said Pettis. "He's stuck between Bellator and the UFC, thinking about retiring. He's one of the best guys I've ever trained with...I don't want to see him get lost between organizations."

Askren is 12-0 and the current Bellator welterweight champion. However, his contract is up with the organization. Bellator has the right to match any offer, and is waiting for the UFC to name a price. In the meantime, Askren is not able to work, but never the less wants a little more time in the cage.

Olisivat nyt lähettäneet Jussi Saarisen sinne, olisi ollut erittäin mielenkiintoista kuulla Aldon mielipide Suomen jääkiekkomaajoukkueen AKA Team Finlandin mahdollisuuksista Sotshin olympialaisissa.

Kyllä tästä oli kai joku ihan haastattelukin ? Sanoi vielä siinä, että ei mielellään ota Davisia vastaan mutta ottelee silti jos vaan eteen tulee. Facebookissa törmäsin linkkiin, pitää yrittää kaivaa.

Gustafsson sanoi juuri noin kotimaan medialle, ainakin alkuperäisen lausunnon mukaan. Mutta ehkä sitä oli sitten väritetty tai väärinymmärretty, koska Amerikanvalmentaja Alliancelta kiisti kuulleensa mitään tämän suuntaista.
 
Ja edelliseen jatkaen, tuore kommentti Gusselta, joka oli maanantain MMA Hour -ohjelmassa:

A few names have surfaced as possible opponents for Gustafsson, including Gegard Mousasi (who was scheduled to face him in April, yet is now focused on moving to middleweight), Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (who was scheduled to face Gustafsson in April 2012, but was scrapped due to injury), and Phil Davis (his Alliance training partner, who fought him in 2010 at UFC 112 and stands as his only loss in the UFC other than Jones).

As for the Davis, Gustafsson’s training partner for the last couple of years, he says he would rather fight about anybody than him.

"We’re close friends, we’re teammates, and I would prefer not to fight him," he said. "If the UFC wants us to fight for a title or, who knows what the future will bring, we will take that question then, but I will not fight Phil Davis if it’s up to me."

Gustafsson also cleared the air on a report that he had recently left Alliance. In reality, he says, all if fine between them. He’s just spending a little more time in Stockholm.

"Yeah, I am, I train in Sweden and I’m based in Sweden, it’s where my home is," he said. "But, we still have a close relationship with Team Alliance."
