Joku sherdogissa on kääntänyt uuden Vadimin haastattelun. Varsin mielenkiintoisia vastauksia. Rupeaa ainakin manatserin puolelta olemaan vihdoin hieman toinen ääni kellossa treeninolosuhteista puhuttaessa:
One fight may be considered as coincidence, but not three in a row. The most possible reason is mistakes made during training and preparing for a fight. Fedor and his trainers often say that there are many changes in their training process and moreover they don`t see a reason for it. It also refers to Fedor`s training partners. We have no doubt that they are powerful, promising fighters that successfully compete in different competitions, but maybe their success is not enough for preparing a fighter of Fedor`s level?
Well, you are asking a wrong person. I`m not a master of martial arts and I`m a trainer. Everyone has to do his job, and from my part it would be unjustified to actively interfere in training process. This is a question for Vladimir Voronov and Aleksandr Michkov.
But it`s hard to not agree that the result isn`t passable. But I don`t think that there is only one main reason, so there can`t be single way to solve the situation.
I think it would very good for Fedor to change his environment, atmosphere of training, at least for some time. The same work with the same people in the same gym makes fighter used to environment, slowing in his progress.
Before his last fight Fedor had two camps in Holland, but probably that wasn`t enough. Maybe you need to go not for 10 days or 2 weeks, but for 2 month? And not only in Holland but somewhere else? Maybe it`s worth to go to US or Brasil.. That doesn`t mean that he needs to change trainers, but work with different trainers and sparring partners will only help help.
Of course he doesn`t want to leave his family, but there are ways to solve these problems and they need to be solved.
- Can Josh Barnett, Shane Carwin and other fighters of the same level become Fedor`s sparring partners?
We are working on it, I really want him to train in the best schools and best fighters. I can`t say anything specific, but we are working on it and I think we will make it happen. Not necessarily these exact fighters, but necessarily the best in their games.-
Maybe it`s easier to work with local wrestlers, their school is recognized in all world? Is there such a variant?
As far as I know he trained with them, but maybe in insufficient amount.
The same thing is with training in cage. I`m ready to provide required equipment in any moment. But I repeat, final decision is on Fedor and trainers.
By the way I`ve sent a cage to Stary Oskol long time ago, but they still haven`t used it in training.
- The question of changing traininers and sparring partners isn`t set?
I`m far from thinking that Fedor needs to change trainers or team. I`ve never talked about it and don`t see this possibility. But other thing is that like Fedor, his trainers have to make corrections in training, also go with Fedor to others schools and gyms. MMA, like everything in our life, changes and improves. And in order to stay on the top, trainers, fighters and methods of preparation have to improve in advanced pace.
Combat Sambo - great original school - but with this direction, with all it`s qualities it doesn`t exhaust diversity of mixed martial arts. Not trainers have to be changed, but trainers have to change training methods. Vladimir Voronov and Aleksandr Michkov raised a lot of great sportsmen, and have earned authority among trainers, and who but not they have to evaluate and use on practice new ways of training that appear in fighters training in leading schools. It would be helpful for preparation on N1 fighter but also for all their students.
