Kehonrakennuslegenda Reg Park on kuollut. Kuolinsyynä sydänkohtaus.

RIP.
 
no, kyllähän tuo jo melkein 80 -vuotiaaksi ehtikin maailmaa tallaamaan. tepasteli pallolla kuitenkin yli tuplat pidempään, kuin jotkut nykyajan legendat. ei tosin yleistyksiä kuitenkaan, vielähän esimerkiksi terminator taylorkin heiluu kisoissa yli viisikymppisenä, ja on hyvinvoivan näköinen.

Voi harmi, siinä meni yksi idoleista. RIP.
 
Joku on nyt sekoillut, sillä ei Reg kuollut ole. Alunperin joku kaiketi oli jäädyttänyt tuon käännöksen kanssa, mutta jos täältä nyt tuon englannin kielisen tekstin lukee, ei siinä kuolemisesta mitään puhuta. Huonossa kunnossa kaveri on, eikä sille mitään voida tehdä, mutta kuollut hän ei vielä ole!
 
Aika aikaansa kutakin, hienon elämän ja hienoon ikään asti eli. rauha muistolle.

Minun muistoissa on junnun nähty kuva Parkista tekemässä tasapenkkipunnerrusta käsipainotyyliin, paitsi että molemmissa käsissä olympic-tanko missä isot kiekot päissä :worship:
Siihen ei moni taida pystyä, keskeltä kiinni ja puristaa pirusti.

Joka tapauksessa vahva ja kovakroppainen kaveri, oman aikansa Arnold :)

The Park family, Reg's many friends and fans remember Reg on 22 November 2008, a year after his passing. On the anniversary of Reg's passing many around the world are holding tributes or remembering Reg in their own way. Jon Jon Park is holding a special workout at The Legacy Gym, named after Reg Park The Legend. Virgin Active Morningside Gym where Reg spent his last years is having a tribute day in South Africa where Reg's clients and family will work out especially hard in Reg's honour. This past year has been very sad for us all but we are ever inspired by Reg and feel him very close to us in our lives. We remind ourselves daily of Reg's philosophies:

* There is nothing more important than family and love
* Be positive
* Eat correctly
* Breathe fresh air deeply
* Rest well
* Exercise routinely
* Have healthy relationships
* Live every moment to the fullest

We thank you all for your love and support over the past year. Please keep your messages coming. They give us great comfort.

REG PARK: The Legend (Youtube Teaser)

Shortly before his death, Reg and the Park family authorised a documentary movie to be made about the life of this charismatic and hugely influential man.

The movie – called “REG PARK: The Legend” is due to be completed around March 2009 and be released to the public some time after that.

The project commenced with Reg sitting down in front of the interviewer’s cameras shortly before he died and telling the story of his life in his own words over a number of sessions.

These sessions have formed the skeleton of the documentary, which includes rare footage of early posing routines and interviews with many famous figures from the world of bodybuilding - including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Platz, Frank Zane, Lou Ferrigno, Joe Weider and many others.

The movie tells the story of a young man from Leeds who emerged from the bleakness of the second World War to create the most magnificent physique in the world. It tells how his dedication and unique talents shaped body-building for decades as he pushed the boundaries - time after time.

It tells of the love story between Reg and his wife, Mareon, and of Reg - the family man and loving father - who moved his family out to South Africa to escape the harsh British climate.

It tells the story of the man who defined the movie muscleman genre through his roles as Hercules and who became a teacher and healer to many through his understanding of the body and his remarkable instinct for healing.

Mareon Park, wife of the late Reg Park, will be in Columbus, Ohio as from Tuesday the 3rd of March 2009 to attend the Arnold Classic Expo and for the launch of the Reg Park documentary film.
