"First of all, we wanna say thanks for a great 2006. We had a great year and a lot of great tours. It was fun to see you all out there."

"Since the release of 'Stabbing the Drama' in 2005, we made about 250 shows for that album. Now it's time to take a rest, but also to get focused on the upcoming album."

Minnes Wichers on matkalla kun hevin soittaminen ei enää kiinnosta. Ekaks lähti Ranta ja nyt Wichers. Pahalta näyttää...
 
Ola Frenning: "We have written a bunch of songs [for the new SOILWORK album] now. Right now we're listening through the stuff, trying to decide which songs we actually will pick for the upcoming album. It will be hard to decide."

"We will enter the studio at the first of March. We will record the drums and guitars at our good friends DARKANE's excellent studio here in Helsingborg. I know that Peter Wildoer (DARKANE's drummer) will do a great job with the drum sound, and with Dirk [Verbeuren] behind the drums... what can go wrong?"

"Right now we're checking out different kind of studio equiment and gear... everything to get the badass guitar/bass sound."

Björn "Speed" Strid: "I have started my two weeks of decadence, getting drunk and write lyrics... that's usually how i do it and it usually works just fine, I have some finished songtitles. Thought I might as well share them with ya... We have 'Your Beloved Scapegoat', 'Light Discovering Darkness', 'The Snare Broken' and 'The Pittsburgh Syndrome' so far... Hmm, curious to see the reactions on that last songtitle..."

Devin Townsend tuottaa albumin vokaaliosuudet.
 
Tää on kyllä melomelomelon kirkkain kärki! Muistaakseni Wichers on kynäillyt Stridin kanssa suurimman osan biiseistä. Kai se kirjoitusvastuu on sit kokonaan Speedillä.

Tätä odotetaan liikaa. Tää ei voi millään lunastaa odotuksia, niin korkealla ne ovat. Kunhan vaan ei perkele aleta tekemään sitä jenkki-ostarihevi-mainsteramia. Puhtaat kertsit hus helevettiin.
 
Minä oon varmaan yksi harvoista hevareista joka ei tätä bändiä tajua. Muista genren edustajista pidän kovastikin mutta Soilworkin melodia/mättö osasto ei toimi paria irtobiisiä lukuunottamatta. Jotenki ei vain ole luonnollisen kuuloista ja liian muoviset soundit minun korvaan.
 
"We rigged up two more control rooms and started to record the bass and keyboards, simultaneously with the guitars. So far, everything sounds great."

"Björn [vocalist Björn 'Speed' Strid] left to Canada three days ago and he will start to record the vocals with Devin [Townsend, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD mastermind] in the next couple of days. As soon we're done with the basic recordings of a song, we will wire it to Björn and Devin, then they will start to work with the vocals. Meanwhile, we will continue with the recordings of keys, bass, melodic guitars and solos."

Ali Pali vois pistää Predators Portraitin soimaan...Ei tarvi kauhean montaa sekuntia, kun tajuat Soilworkin hienouden!
 
Itse aloin kuntelemaan Soilworkkia vasta 2006. Nyt bändi on jyrännyt meikäläisen polvilleen!! ps.( tosin in flames on edelleen ruotsin ykkönen:)..)
 
Albumin miksaukset on valmiina.

Ola Frenning: "All I can say, it sounds excellent... great sound, great playing and a good mix of songs. I'm very happy to have an album in my CD collection that no one else has... yet!"
 
Mun mielestä Soilwork on menettänyt otteen sitten loistavan Natural Born Chaos lätyn. 2 uusinta oli todella tylsiä, ainakin jos tuohon mestariteokseen vertaa. Toi NBC levy on yksi top-10 levyistä mitä tiedän.

Toivotaan että löytyis uutta intoa uuteen levyyn.
 
Albumin nimeksi tulee Sworn To A Great Divide ja se ilmestyy 19.10.
