Loistavaa! Toivottavasti parantavat edellisen levyn hieman vaisusta menosta. Nicke Andersson mukaan biisintekoon niin alkaa syntyä kunnon materiaalia! Nickehän puuhailee jotain death metal projektia ja vieraili kesällä Entombedin keikkakitaristinakin. Toisaalta Morning Star on niin kova levy että ei sitä Nickeä aivan välttämättä tarvita, en muista kuinka paljon niistä biiseistä taas oli Uffen tekemiä...

"The 'When In Sodom' EP was extremely well received, more than any other Entombed record, boosting both interest and sales in Europe, so we thank each and every one who got their hands on a copy.
'When In Sodom' is yet to be released in Scandinavia,(September 18) and USA, (November 14) to coincide with the west coast dates with GRAVE and DISMEMBER, 1-16 December. We need to get those extra kicks in to pave the way before we unleash the highly anticipated full length studio album — 'Serpent Saints'. In the meantime, ENTOMBED will tour Scandinavia and USA on the EP; in November the mighty Masters Of Death tour will pulverize Europe, and then we will launch the masterpiece in February/March 2007. It will be worth the wait!"

Albumin nimeä on hiukan muutettu: Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments.
Rumpali Peter Stjärnvind lähti bändistä ja tilalle tuli Olle Dahlstedt (Alpha Safari, ex-Misery Loves Co.).
"We're mixing right now and the devil is smiling. Yesterday we got final mixes on the songs 'In The Blood' and 'The Dead, The Dying And The Dying To Be Dead' with top man Soren Elofsson at the console. He's helping us tweak the mix and will most likely master the beast at Cosmos Mastering, Stockholm, Sweden, later this month."
"So, where are we coming from on this album? Same place as always. Always the one constant . . . something from the cunt/cock and something for the clock, i.e. something for the gray between the ears and something for the primal forces below the waist and possibly something for the spot a little off centre in the chest."
"Musically 'Serpents Saints' goes wider and deeper than the 'When In Sodom' EP but it's a pretty good indicator. It's no concept album but an ambitious attempt at creating a solid album with some reoccurring themes. Almost like the sound track to the film with the same name. Get the picture? You don't need to."
"Without getting too philosophical and/or, God forbid, preachy, who the fuck needs that? 'Serpent Saints' on one plane deals with serpents (snakes, devils) and saints and how to separate the two. Can you? Are they the same, like most things and people, both good and bad depending on . . the weather and quantity and most importantly — on which side of the fence you are positioned. God and bad and/or positively evil. Most things/people are definitely both, and most in denial and/or ignorance — bliss, they say. Get it? Or should we Ying-yang you some more? No. Fuck meaning and fuck truth and shake your butt, or don't."
"It's definitely not no doomsday prophecy of how the world is coming to an end boring bullshit. Humans have been pretty much the same for as long as we know. Toi Stjärnvind paukutti kyllä aivan perkeleen hyvin Murder Squadin Ravenous Murderous:lla. Muistan ku ekoja kertoja pyöräyttelin levyä aatelleeni että "vittu ku on loistavat rumpuraidat, varmaan Reifert paukuttamassa!" Vaan sepä olikin tämä ruottin poika paukuttamassa (Reifertin lisäksi toki), harvoin oon niin luonnollisen kuulosia blastbeatejä kuullut old-skool dödössä...Mick Harris on toinen joka tulee mieleen, ei muita. Sääli että lähti tosiaan.

Miten muuten sais tilattua To Ride Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth-levyn jostain? Vai pitääkö käytettyä kärkkyä jostain?
Toi on muuten jännä, aika nihkeesti löytyy tuota levyä vaikka kaikkia muita löytyy. Itse ostin joskus vuosia sitten Swampista "halpahyllystä" ihan hiluilla sen. Mun mielestä ihan Entombedin parhaimpia levyjä.
Näkyy vielä ainakin Swampin sivuilta löytyvän, tosin hinta on "normaali". Kysäise vaikka sieltä.
