I'll just post the highlights for those who don't want to read all that. Race happened on super secret test track, and roll ons were done at both 45mph and 75mph on up to 160mph shutdown speed. here's the results
Bigger dano's ride was all put back to stock. no nos or anything. however a looked over timing mod for the nos wasn't taken care of so he was running a bit rich.
Stock busa=158hp: Ran car 3 times. would either first pull ahead or stay next to the car till about 160mph, that's when aerodynamics of the car took over and the car gained. Once ran with 200ib passenger in the car and the bike stayed right next to the passenger car door (CAN'T WAIT FOR VID HURRy UP NICK!!!)
Big Gar's Busa with Exhaust and chip mod=167hp: Slowly Walked away from the viper in both 45 and 75mph roll ons.
Nick's Psycho Custom Big Bore NOS Busa=197hp without NOS, 215hp With NOS: Totally Raped The car.
Fulltilts Big Bore Carbon fiber body ZX-12= 186hp: To make things a little interesting, they car started 4 lengths ahead of the bike. Hammers dropped and the bike reeled the car in, whipped passed it and continued to pull ahead all the way till 180mph where they shut down.
No excuses from the car runner Viperbusaowner. In fact his car did what was intended. it showed it could run and beat a stock busa. on top of it all it ran great through all runs with no loss of power despite the immense heat of the environment. A Monumental success if you recall the vipers questionable reliability factor (blows up in just about every mag test). His car was indeed built right.
I already (infact numerous times) chimed about the runs between phantombusa and edward's turbo busa have set up with the turbo supras which i Hope ware still going to take place. Phantom: Is that 1000hp viper still going to show up? do us proud boys!
